Will the new accelerator at CERN address this? Maybe they could help or at least add to the confusion. When are they going to get started with smashing stuff that will provide the data needed?

In my perspective of scientific facts which are still fiction, the Higgs particle has no mass at all from itself.
It gives mass to fermions by changeing its form by a real collision process into a graviton.
Other collison products are the electric- ( plus and minus) and magnetic- ( north and south) and visible or x-ray monopole photon.
As a consequence the LHC will not find the Higgs.
However it probably will find something much more usefull: a ball lightning or glueball of considerable size able to produce vacuum energy..

I actually think that the higgs will be found. I reckon that it's gravitational mass will be 1.66782047599E-09 kg and its electromagnetic mass 1.10511043944E-42 kg.
CERN have delayed for months now. Calibration must be complete and they must have done some run up tests. There's a good chance that they have already found something unexpected and are having to do a lot of number crunching.

Sloat, Maybe I should know but I don't-what is electromagnetic mass and how is it different than gravity mass?
