Hi X,
I haven't been here in a while (or very much), but I thought I'd try to get reengaged by diving into your last image with my own enhancement of a crop of M0105887, which I believe covers the same area as the portion of yours which you annotated.
A couple of notes on this image. This version is oriented comparably
to the original source non-mapped image, as opposed to being rotated as you did in your version. Second, the aspect ratio of the original MOC source is rather severe (0.66), and that requires that the image be shortened in its (original) vertical dimension by one-third to be an accurately corrected representation of what the MOC imaged in its ground track.
This image was processed in PSP, with the major enhancement processing being entropy deconvolution and a Fourier transform in other software.
I've compared this to your image, and in addition taken a hard look at this image of my own. I'm sorry to have to say (since I am always eager to view a real potential anomaly) that I honestly can see little or nothing remarkable here.
I'll try to be more pro-active in participating here....
Best Wishes,
Wil

Where’s the love song to set us free
Too many people down, everything turning the wrong way round
And I don’t know what love will be
But if we stop dreaming now, lord know we’ll never clear the clouds
And you’ve been so busy lately
That you haven’t found the time
To open up your mind
And watch the world spinning gently out of time
Feel the sunshine on your face
It’s in a computer now
Gone are the future, way out in space
And you’ve been so busy lately
That you haven’t found the time
To open up your mind
And watch the world spinning gently out of time
And you’ve been so busy lately
That you haven’t found the time
To open up your mind
And watch the world spinning gently out of time
Tell me I’m not dreaming
But are we out of time
(we’re) out of time (x4)

Too many large image files on this page! With my slow dialup server, I get several whole images and pieces of some; others just keep on sending many megabytes of data without displaying anything. Besides, those wide images force the whole page to scroll.
Tom, when Dholeman gets back, ask him to add instructions in FAQ about posting smaller images with links to full-size versions.
Xterrester, I'm not familiar with photoshop, but those black areas look like they could have been created inadvertently by you with your dodge tool, not intentionally by government conspirators. Try some of the other methods of adjusting brightness and contrast. If those anomalies disappear, they are your own doing.
