Look, MSSS, NASA, NSA etc, if you're reading this, (yeah, we can read too), give us the god damned data!
All the norms out there in sitcom/reality tv land, won't give a 4X about it all, they WILL NOT believe or comprehend it.
So they can carry on sleeping and WE can have some real 21st century digital clarity here, therefore, everyone will be happy.
We're ALL fed up with these crappy b/w photos ffs.

My first reaction is that this was photoshopped in. It's tough to be certain, but the shadowing looks all wrong.
- The crater has the sun low in the sky at about 10:30
- The artifact also puts it low, at about 3:30
- The center "explosion" puts it almost overhead at 5:30
- The "explosion" shouldn't be in 3D but appears to be
Just my two cents. The competing explanation is that something about the artifact reflects light oddly, and that the "explosion" is multibrightness debris, all lying on the ground.

Kcody & 6sides,
Whatever it is, it is strange looking.
Regarding image clarity, current spy satellites orbiting Earth are said to be able to read newspaper headlines from 200 miles up and at an angle. I've often wondered if NASA didn't recycle the cameras from the original 1960's Corona spy satellites for use in the Mars Orbiters. The image quality might lead one to think this.

Skyscrapers on Mars?
What the Heck is this?
At first I thought the anomalous area looked like bands of noise. But they seem too three-dimensional to be noise bands.
Can you provide a link for this image? Does the file contain layers?
