Malcolm, you didn't answer my question: What was covered up (re: The 42 ft statue?)

In order for us to further the dialogue, it's important that we answer each other's questions. Otherwise we tend to talk past each other.

Yes for sure. Here's the act that spoke volumes for me and tipped my mind into confirming your condition referred to as COGNITIVE DISSONANCE as this type of action is typical when the person suffering cannot face any evidence that intensifies the dissonance.

Hence your insistence of this pariedolia stuff.

Before it was called pareidolia it was called other things including "simulacra" by Jean Baudrillard. He contended that in America only the simulacra was real (Disneyland) and that mainstream America was an imitation of Disneyland. If this were true- one could say- In America only pareidolia is real. i believe this is true. Existentialists say that things are. i say that is merely how they appear to be and that there is an underlying more meaningful reality. Pareidolia is a rabbit hole to reach into the underlying reality that is in each of our unconscious mind.
In the image below, we see an unknown Arabic work of art from the late fourteenth century.

...
... we see another example of a "head" with a "look once more" or "double take" optical illusion. The head here has an amusing sense of "Groucho Marx" with thick rimmed black glasses thus is created for the means to capture the "Human eye" as the eye passes over the illusion - very clever!

In the two images directly below, we can just make out the manifestation of a huge Jinn some 20 meters high being produced and at closer magnification, we can just make out the "heads within heads" that Fred was possibly referring to.

...

At this point, we are along way down the rabbit hole as the story starts to take shape. From this point, I propose we refer to these surface manifestations as "JINNS" consistent with Fred's definition as I feel quite certain, indeed predict that as the Alien life profile begins to unfold on Mars, we will be seeing much more of these phenomenons.

Now...where did I put my re-run copies of "I dream of Jeanie"!

Oh, and it was Neil, not Fred (for the third time) who referred to "Jinns."
