Good old Nikola, he's always a great one for bringing out the crazy in people. There is a great deal of literature about Tesla, some nutty and some good. The man was a genius and eccentric. Sadly towards the end of his life he made increasingly flamboyant claims that were not borne out.
In regards to how the "experts" regard him. The majority have dismissed his turbine and wireless transmission of power. The latter in particular is the most controversial. I cannot prove but have a hunch that Tesla was more on the path than his modern critics. The man was proceeding from different premises and produced actual results. I think his research on wireless transmission of power should be taken more seriously than it has been. One wonders what he could have accomplished if his funding hadn't dried out.

I was more interested in his inventions to harness the aether/gravitons from atmosphere in order to run cars etc., It seems quite insane that of all the things we have achieved in such a short time that we are still using the same engine system to run our cars a century on.
I heard Jp Morgan was instrumental in tesla's decreasing funds, and certain influential members of the massive oil cartel-is this true?

Morgan dropped funding because on more thought about the wireless transmission of power he wondered how he could charge people for it if anyone could tap in by building an appropriate receiver. Perhaps he also became skeptical of Tesla's claims since they were quite extraordinary for the time in which they were made.
