Age of the universe

Yeah - they didn't have to pay overtime back then. Nowadays, his union would raise hell.

Is ther some compelling need for the age of the universe being about 13 billion years in the BB model? If there is redshift observed at about z=6 and an observer was at z=3 would that observer see the same redshift we see at z=6? Or would it be z=3 at that location? It is very strange stuff.

Haha, They should.
If the galaxy is 13b ly away. it whould have taken 13b years for the light to get here, but how long did it take for the galaxy to get there. if it traveled at c/2 (using earth as center of universe)then it whould have takens 26b years for it to get there. then the light from it went trough space in 13b years and then reached us. total age of 29b years. some part of science is wrong. lets just hope the right one wins this duel.
