In the MM, photons consist of matter ingredients which can be influenced by gravitons....

JoeP, Ok then, when you say we I will assume you mean the current state of art. The current state of art is maybe 50% rational and 50% theory based on guess work and whatever else might factor in. When the theories gain the status og assumed truth they become dogma. This is a rational result for sure, it happens all the time. So, you can be rational about dogma. Its a big problem-hard to overcome.

Mark,

Can I take from your response that a photon has mass? Or, maybe momentum?

Jim,

You seem to believe that "guess work" is somehow irrational. Approximation, estimation, extrapolation, etc...are quite rational undertakings. And, scientists create theories in order to test hypotheses. In science, truth is always progressing -never final. And, scientists will always anchor themselves to a favorite paradigm. This is only...rational.

JoeP, Writing about these details is hard for me do to my lack of skills, but, I don't think guess work is irrational even though I wrote in a way that conclusion is logical. Its dogma that exists in science that I object to. Just because dogma sells well is not a good excuse to apply it so often.
