I am no benchtop experimenter, but this handicap does not blind me to the profound lack of physical demonstration of any of the ideas in this thread. The great physical ideas have always been formed through
rigorous tinkering (with the notable exceptions of SR and GR). Each element of the idea must be tested in the real world as the idea progresses. I seriously doubt that Marconi, Tesla, or any of the other great inventors built their devices by first going round and round about many untested and untestable ideas. They eliminated the inessential, irrelevant, and impossible, through *experiment* as they
built them.
Granted, I have been as guilty as all others here concerned, on these points, lest any of you think I excuse myself from the malaise. I have stated elsewhere, and repeat here, there are designs capable of being built, such as the Podkletnov. The literature on his work is
extant. So far the only people I see seriously working on it are the Boeing people. Their focus is anti-gravity, to the blind exclusion
of FTL phenomena. The better for others who would try to reach the finish line first. Fortunately, Podkletnov published his work *before* handing it over to Boeing. This does not mean that Boeing now has the rights to it. Why are we not using it *on the benchtop*?!

are we taking microengineering here? if so then it is possible with a little funding and hard work, like the privat eventures from individuals who want to go out into spacxe with there own crafts.
