Pushing Gravity Book and General Relativity

If mathematics is found to correctly predict the outcome of events, it is easy to "retrofit" an explanation. Particularly so if you see that your listeners will accept floating abstractions, i.e. concepts not firmly grounded in common perception.

This is done everyday by conmen (but without the "veil" of mathematics). James Randi has them by the score on his site ;o)

Thanks a lot. I agree with your statements. Too strange they still keep on teaching those views at the Universities and good students have hard time to accept these.
