Why I disagree with static eternal universe

I think you may have to look to religion to give you any answers you can understand... talk to any Baha'i or Muslim!

For example: www.planetbahai.org/cgi-bin/articles.pl?article=222

gliitle,

I went to the link, but I do not agree that the universe is eternal, it had a beginning and it must also end . Entropy will ensure that happens

If we change the Bahai wording from "CREATION" , TO "EXISTENCE" THEN I WOULD AGREE WITH THE TEXT

"it had a beginning and it must also end"

You can invert that and aswell say that since the universe didnt have a beginning, it can't have an end.
The way entropy works dosnt mean the universe will end, entropy will increase yes but it would do so over an infinite time and area.

When entropy increases as you suggest the universe will become dark and aliento life as we know it

The energy will still be all there in the universe but would have become so dissipated by entropy that it could not be used for work or sustain life. The universe is leaking

Even so that doesn't mean the universe "ends".

And who knows, perhaps some large event á la Big Bang puts the entropy back up there for another cycle.

Entropy is an invention of man and works well in engineering. Entropy therefore is more like Mickey Mouse than anything real in the universe. Entropy is nothing more than a line on a graph.
