In the Big Bang cosmology, galaxies are not moving through space as part of the expansion of the universe. If they were, then the Big Bang would have a center and an edge, both of which are forbidden in the real Big Bang.

Instead, the distance between galaxies is increasing in the Big Bang theory because new space is continually being created between all galaxies, which are otherwise (nearly) standing still in their local space. This picture takes a little getting-used-to. But you must understand what the theory really is before you can knowledgeably accept or reject it. -|Tom|-

Well thats what eveyone seems to explain the Big bang as.....If there were a big bang then everything would be traveling away from a central point and never be able to form any sort of matter or objects/chunks to form stuff since there would be no gravity since nothing could attract anything.....I would expand in all directions forever never touching each other(particles/atoms). the big banfg is bogus.....There may be "mini bangs" of Black holes that are over massed and have consumed too many other Black holes, but it is a silly idea.....The space between
"expanding" is a new addition and i believe part of this sites reasoning of why galaxies are moving.....not related to any big bang.
Plus as i stated above the big bang with space having no "friction" wouldn't allow any creation of anything, it would just keep on truckin along for infinity......
What I find obsured is that scientists knowingly cannot see the "edge" of our dimention nor the beginning (the "left over radiation is bullcrap that could be anything) and they will accept some stupid "human" idea that there has to be a beginning and end.
See, time is the problem.it is an invention of man that is usless in space theory.....Time is not tangable nor real.

I guess my pondering is about the "Zero" speed aspect.....What is true "zero" speed.....complete stoppage in space.......mabey that is what Wormhole travel is all about.....Stoping and starting space/time (yes i said time) instantaniously.......

TK,

Your question about a zero speed is meaningless unless you phrase it in terms of what it is zero in reference to. In one frame I am sitting at zero speed at my computer typing these words, but in reference to the Sun I am traveling at 29 km/s.
