In this enlarged, equalized version the alphbetic symbols (upper center) can be seen more clearly. Additionally, there are a couple of rows of shapes of the same size and type very neatly lined up (towards the left of the top center area).
Also note that the white "tubes" descending into the netting (on the right just past the dome) can be seen much more easily in this enlargement

This area looks like a decorative sign or identifying marker. The letter resembling an "A" aappears to be inclined back against a pyramdial shape rising up from the top of the dome. There are other alpha-numeric symbols up behind it. Also rows of shapes looking very deliberately placed.

The last few images are craters, not domes. Check the Sun direction with the image data. All MGS images are subject to a depth illusion that can be seen as either raised or lowered. The only reliable way to get it right is to check the Sun direction, then force your brain to see sunlit areas and shadows as they must be for that Sun direction. -|Tom|-

Tom, I tried to see these as craters but my brain still registers domes. It is late and my eyes are tired. I will take another look at the original image tomorrow.

I do not necessarily trust that the direction of sunlight or other data that is officially provided is always 100% correct. I have found other instances when it plainly wasn't, possibly because the image was accidently posted reversed or upside down so the data didn't match.

And I can't say that I would bet my life on all the data as provided by NASA being perfectly correct as disinfo or misinfo has been perpetuated in the past. One famous example being the deliberate misrepresentation of the natural colors of the planet.

Patterns of Urbanization on Mars?

M2100213

Enlarged clip from above image, M2100213

An intriguing maze of street-like urbanization patterns stretching out over the landscape suggests an area that may have been extensively populated at some point in time. Groupings of building-like shapes can be seen in several areas of the image.

M1500336 enlarged clip

Structure with markings? There seems to be more than natural geology going on in this image. The clip shows a structure that appears to be decorated or marked. Just in front of the structure shown in the enlarged clip is a line of markings that curve around the front of the structure. These look to me like they could be a name or identification markings of some kind.

Other structures found in the surrounding area also have the appearance of having been decorated. In the long image strip there is a large dome-like structure. The front part of the structure looks damaged or caved-in. In the caved-in section it looks like there might be remnants of a foundation wall.

Even the much smaller dome-shapes scattered about the lower area of the image appear to be decorated. The one located on the left about two inches up from the bottom of the image, second one in, looks especially artificial.
