The EPH had been considered for along time then already so you could see him getting his inspiration from somewhere,
Of course there is the possibility that the Aliens that spoke to him was real and gave him their assurance it was true, but proving that would be quite much harder then proving the EPH so perhaps you are going at this in the wrong direction?
Once you get a consensus that the EPH may very well be the answer then you can start going back and look at history and what effects the EPH it had on it. Alan F Alford has written a few books already on the subject, how the Egyptians got retold the story of an exploding planet by their "gods" and these stories later turned into a religion once their original meaning was forgotten.

Hi Pheonix,
I understand your thoughts on this. I am one that prefers to follow my gut feeling on subjects for my personal thoughts and beliefs and have found it to work well for me from past "hunches" so to speak.
I am interested in the proven science of this subject and on the other hand I also must follow personal experience from my past about alternative methods of learning, such as bi-location, remote viewing and several others methods as well.
Your response to my post is a good one from a strictly scientific point of view but I have learned not to restrict my path of knowledge to that degree. I guess I can only do what I have been taught to do.
Regardless, it is a good subject to kick around and to consider.

Gabriel:
I can see where you are coming from here. From my life experiences and heightened states of awareness (meditation, psilocybin ((magic mushroom)) use), I have also kicked around the idea of "other" or alien life using mental channels as a means of contacting other species. These are just that though, they are my personal beliefs, and I would not come out and say that they ARE true or real, but that I THINK these COULD VERY WELL BE true or real.
Consciousness is a strange thing, therefore I rule nothing out of possibility.

I would agree toothdust that these are your personal beliefs as they may be mine. Why does that qualify your personal beliefs to be something that you cannot rely on or must not project and at the same time why does that demean your personal beliefs to be made public?? This it seems to me to be the very trap that science tries to place you within? Also when you tell me that my personal beliefs are only "mine personal" you engage in a word game that says my personal beliefs cannot possibly be true or accurate so you cannot speak of them! Can you answer this question for me?
What if I actually lived before this lifetime and knew things that science did not know and tried to speak about these things but because these things were "personal" I was somehow not able to speak them?
Why would you restrict me in that way?? Why does my thoughts, right or wrong, threaten you in any way?? why would you try to tell me that I cannot speak of the things I think I know??
I would think that a person that was "loving" and interested would try to direct me to the actual truth as the person judging thinks they know??
Please help me as I am trying to learn how to distinguish between what I think I know and what I actually do know??
