Hi Marsrocks, I wonder what that is? I even wonder if it's green. The Bradford is an rgb image but the dss image will be red or blue; is this image the one where you combined the two? I wonder if it can be something to do with the psychology of how our brains decide on a colour?

Could the two dots be the same thing? The two plates are about twenty years apart, so there can be a proper motion of the object. That would mean that it couldn't be a moon of Barbarosa. The Bradford green dot could be noise but then so could the dss image. Really, what's needed is time on a two metre telescope but there's a queue for time on these things.

Stoat, you're right. The new green dot is from a false color image. So, we don't know if it is actually green. If it is background noise, it's very odd in relation to the rest of the background.

I hope you guys can get time on a large telescope! Good luck!
